Our team of experts at The Bone & Joint Center of Seattle rely on state-of-the-art surgical methods to preserve the natural function of joints. This team of fellowship-trained surgeons are equipped with the latest technology to treat an array of joint problems, from the most visible to the highly complex, no matter a patient's age.
Advanced Treatments
Our physicians and their teams provide advanced therapies that are personalized to each patient's unique situation. Your specialist will review your specific needs and present all the options available to you. Some of the advanced treatments we commonly perform include:
- Arthroscopic surgery, using the smallest incisions possible
- Replacement and repair of tendons and ligaments
- Shoulder replacement (including reverse total shoulder replacement)
- Hip & knee replacements
- Partial joint replacements
- Hip resurfacing
- Complex fracture care after accidents
- Reconstructive surgery after injury, including sports injuries or other accidents
- Reconstructive surgery related to arthritis or other degenerative conditions
- Revisions of previous joint replacements
Minimally Invasive Surgical Treatments
Our surgeons are committed to offering the least invasive surgical options to patients. These surgical options allow your surgeon to perform the operation through smaller incisions. The benefits of a minimally invasive surgery include:
- Less blood loss
- A shorter hospital stay
- A faster recovery.
Shoulder and Elbow
We treat patients young and old. Many are referred to our physicians for degenerative joint problems, while others come in for help with an acute injury like a fracture. Common conditions of the shoulder and elbow include:
- Arthritis
- Bursitis
- Dislocations
- Fractures
- Frozen shoulder
- Golfer's elbow
- Rotator cuff injury
- Separations
- Sprains and strains
- Tendinitis
- Tennis elbow
Hip and Knee
Each patient's needs are different. Our fellowship-trained specialists have the additional experience that helps them handle complex cases while assessing and addressing risks and potential complications. At Northwest Hospital, we use special "templating" software that helps surgeons identify the implant that best fits each patient's unique anatomy. This process ensures greater accuracy in the placement of the new hip or knee implant while minimizing tissue damage.
